Associate Degree in Christian Counseling

The Associate Degree in Christian Counseling (Disciple Track)
The Associate Degree in Christian Counseling (Disciple Track) at Wellspring Christian Institute is a comprehensive 60-credit program designed to provide students with a strong biblical, theological, and practical foundation in Christian counseling. As the first step toward a Bachelor of Christian Counseling, this pathway equips students with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual understanding needed to compassionately support individuals facing a wide range of life's challenges while growing in their own walk with Christ.
Throughout the program, students explore essential areas of Christian counseling, including mental and emotional health, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship dynamics, grief, and personal growth, all through a Christ-centered, biblically grounded perspective. Students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of God's Word while developing the wisdom, character, and practical skills necessary to minister effectively to others.
The Disciple Track is ideal for those who desire a solid academic and spiritual foundation in Christian counseling, whether for personal growth, church ministry, leadership, or as preparation for further study. It emphasizes becoming a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ whose life and ministry reflect His compassion, truth, and love.
For those seeking a shorter pathway of study, Wellspring Christian Institute also offers an Associate Certificate in Christian Counseling, consisting of 29 credit hours. This certificate provides foundational biblical counseling training for individuals who wish to develop practical counseling skills without pursuing a full degree.
At Wellspring Christian Institute, students become part of a vibrant learning community committed to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and practical ministry. Our goal is not simply to educate but to cultivate faithful disciples who are equipped to bring Christ's hope, healing, and restoration to individuals, families, churches, and communities.
Upon successful completion of the Disciple Track, graduates receive their Associate Degree in Christian Counseling, providing a strong foundation for continued study through the Bachelor of Christian Counseling or for meaningful service within their church, ministry, or community.
The Associate Degree in Christian Counseling (Ambassador Track)
At Wellspring Christian Institute, the Associate Degree in Christian Counseling (Ambassador Track) is a comprehensive 60-credit program designed for students who desire more than a biblical education, they desire to be equipped and commissioned for Christian counseling ministry. This unique pathway provides the same strong biblical and practical foundation as our Disciple Track while integrating the complete ARNO Christian Counselor Certification and Licensing Program into the degree.
Throughout the program, students will explore key areas of counseling, including mental and emotional health, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship dynamics, and personal growth, all through a Christ-centered perspective. Alongside their academic studies, students complete the nine ARNO certification courses, gaining practical counseling tools, professional competencies, and ministry experience that prepare them to serve with confidence and biblical integrity.
The Ambassador Track is designed for those who sense a calling to represent Christ in the ministry of counseling. Rather than completing certification after graduation, students graduate having fulfilled both their academic requirements and the training necessary to receive ARNO Christian Counselor Certification.
At Wellspring Christian Institute, students become part of a vibrant learning community committed to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and practical ministry. Our heart is not simply to educate students but to equip ambassadors of Christ who are prepared to bring hope, healing, and restoration to individuals, families, churches, and communities.
Upon successful completion of the Ambassador Track, graduates receive:
-
Associate Degree in Christian Counseling

ARNO Profile System Certification

ARNO Licensing ($100 added cost)
-
Practical ministry and counseling preparation
-
A seamless pathway into the Bachelor of Christian Counseling (Ambassador Track)
