Master Degree in Christian Counseling

The Master Degree in Christian Counseling (Disciple Track)
The Master Degree in Christian Counseling (Disciple Track) at Wellspring Christian Institute is an advanced graduate-level 40-credit program designed for individuals who are called to deepen their understanding of Christian counseling while growing as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. This program prepares students for effective Christ-centered counseling ministry by providing advanced training in biblical counseling, human development, emotional and mental health, trauma recovery, addictions, crisis intervention, anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and spiritual care.
Built upon a strong foundation of biblical truth and practical application, the Disciple Track equips students to minister with wisdom, compassion, and biblical integrity. Students develop a deeper understanding of human behavior through the lens of Scripture while learning to integrate sound counseling principles with the transforming power of God's Word. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on spiritual formation, Christlike character, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit, the Great Counselor as students prepare to guide others toward healing, wholeness, and restoration.
The Disciple Track is ideal for those who desire advanced theological and counseling education for ministry, church leadership, pastoral care, private practice, or further academic study. It focuses on developing counselors whose knowledge is matched by spiritual maturity and whose ministry reflects the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ.
For those seeking focused graduate-level training without completing the full degree, Wellspring Christian Institute also offers a Master Certificate in Christian Counseling, consisting of 23 credit hours. This certificate provides advanced biblical counseling education for individuals who desire specialized training without pursuing a master's degree.
As a Certified Academic Institute with the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA), Wellspring Christian Institute provides graduates with the opportunity to pursue additional professional development through the Arno Profile System (APS), a powerful counseling assessment tool that helps counselors better understand personality, temperament, and behavioral patterns, enabling more personalized and effective client care. Graduates may also choose to continue along the NCCA credentialing pathway toward licensure as a Pastoral Counselor. Additional training, requirements, and fees may apply.
At Wellspring Christian Institute, we believe that effective Christian counseling is rooted in biblical truth, spiritual maturity, practical wisdom, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to cultivate disciples who are equipped to minister with excellence, compassion, discernment, and unwavering commitment to God's Word.
Upon successful completion of the Disciple Track, graduates receive their Master Degree in Christian Counseling, preparing them for advanced counseling ministry, leadership, doctoral studies, and lifelong service in God's Kingdom.
The Disciple Track is designed for those who desire to grow deeply in their faith, develop advanced counseling expertise, and faithfully reflect the heart of Christ as they bring hope, healing, and restoration to individuals, families, churches, and communities.
